Smash Burger ApS in Sydhavn is seeking an experienced Kitchen Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in daily operations. You will coordinate tasks, supervise staff, and ensure high quality and speed in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Has experience from a professional kitchen
• Has experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor or in a similar position
• Has experience coordinating or supervising kitchen staff
• Works independently and in a structured manner
• Can communicate in English. Danish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and planning
• Coordinating and distributing tasks among kitchen staff
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent
• Taking an active part in food preparation and service
• Ensuring quality and consistency in food production
• Planning and following up on mise en place and preparation
• Training and guiding new employees
• Maintaining an efficient workflow during busy periods
• Monitoring ingredients, stock and deliveries
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and food safety requirements
• Helping reduce food waste and optimise the use of ingredients
