Job description

WHO ARE WE?

ROPU MIDI is a Regional Operating Unit that covers all local Human Pharma and Animal Health Operating Units across Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Greece, Portugal, Sweden, and The Netherlands. MIDI has a multicultural and diverse work environment. More than 1.800 employees are striving to work together to improve lives for patients and animals in our region.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Key Account Manager Nordics, you will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth by building strong, long-term partnerships with key customers, such as key wholesalers, retail chains, and strategic customers across the Nordic region.

You will be responsible for developing and executing customer business plans that align customer priorities with our commercial objectives, ensuring mutual value creation and long-term success. Acting as a trusted partner to our customers, you will leverage market insights, commercial expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities, accelerate growth, and strengthen our position across multiple animal health categories.

Working across species and markets, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence business outcomes across the Nordic region while collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Technical teams.

The role is linked to our Copenhagen office and reports directly to the Head of Wholesale & Distributor Management Nordics. While the Copenhagen office serves as the primary base, this is not a traditional office-based role, and a great part of the work is performed with customers and in the field.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who wants to be part of a truly innovative and revolutionary team! Join us if you want to make the difference.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and position Boehringer Ingelheim as a preferred strategic partner.
  • Optimize commercial investments and promotional activities to maximize growth and return on investment.
  • Drive excellence in commercial execution, across product launches, campaigns, and in-clinic activations, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
  • Leverage data, insights, and market trends to identify opportunities, and drive decision-making.
YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree in a commercial, business or relevant scientific field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Strategic Account Management, Key Account Management, or a similar commercial role.
  • Excellent command of the English language. The ideal candidate must be fluent in one of the three languages: Danish, Swedish or Norwegian.
  • Proven experience in developing customer business plans and delivering sustainable growth through strategic account management.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to translate insights into business opportunities and actionable plans.
  • Solid understanding of the animal health industry, veterinary channels, shopper behaviors or comparable regulated environments.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading complex negotiations.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on approach to execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.
WHAT WILL YOU GET IN RETURN?
  • Work in a wellbeing-oriented organization (Premium access to Headspace and ongoing support and initiatives related to ways of working to help our employees to stay healthy and constantly improve the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being)
  • Pleasant and informal working atmosphere
  • Good balance between work and free time (flexible working hours) - flexibility to work from home within the respective country and the office
  • Option to temporarily work from abroad for a limited period (up to 30 working days) - if applicable.
