Job description

Junior Quality Inspector – Aerospace & Unmanned Systems

Thunderstrike Aviation is expanding its Quality organization and seeking a Quality Inspector to support inspection and quality activities across all stages of our unmanned aerial system (UAS) lifecycle. This includes a wide range of inspected items such as parts, materials, assemblies, systems, configurations, and flight articles.

We welcome candidates early in their careers who are motivated to develop within aerospace quality and inspection. Training and mentoring will be provided for the right candidate with a strong technical mindset and attention to detail.

We are proud to be an international company with a diverse and collaborative culture. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and partners around the world, contributing to a truly global team environment.

You will join a fast-growing aerospace company working with advanced unmanned systems and cutting-edge technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within aerospace quality, testing, manufacturing, and flight operations while working closely with experienced engineers and specialists. If you are motivated to learn, enjoy working with technology, and want to grow your career in a high‑tech environment, we would like to hear from you.

This is a hands‑on role and you will actively perform inspections, document results, raise nonconformances, and support investigation and resolution activities in close cooperation with Quality Engineering, Production, Engineering, and Test teams. The role requires adaptability, technical discipline, and comfort operating in an environment where designs, processes, and inspection needs evolve as the product matures.

The role

This is an entry‑level / junior Quality Inspector position. You are not expected to know everything from day one. Thunderstrike will provide onboarding, on‑the‑job training and relevant quality and regulatory training based on your background.

Initially, your main focus will be incoming inspection. As your experience develops, the role will gradually expand into in‑process inspection and, later, pre‑flight, final and release inspection activities.

You will:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts, materials and assemblies.
  • Verify products against drawings, specifications and inspection criteria.
  • Document inspection results and identify nonconformances.
  • Use measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Support Quality Engineering and Production with inspection findings and documentation.
  • Gradually take on broader inspection responsibilities as your skills develop.

The existing profile similarly emphasizes hands‑on inspection, conformity against controlled documentation, documentation and NCR support.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a technical mindset, attention to detail and an interest in quality and manufacturing.

You may already have e.g. 1-2 years of experience from quality, production or another technical environment

Relevant backgrounds could include:

  • Quality or inspection
  • Production or manufacturing
  • Technician or technical designer roles
  • Mechanical or electronics work
  • Laboratory work involving physical testing

Experience with technical drawings, GD&T, measurement tools, ERP/PLM systems or aerospace quality is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

About you

You are hands‑on, structured and curious. You enjoy working with physical products, follow instructions carefully and take pride in documenting your work accurately.

Most importantly, you want to develop your skills and grow into a broader Quality Inspector role as Thunderstrike’s products and production setup evolve.

EU citizenship and eligibility for required NATO security clearance are required for the role.
