Job summary

Ellab A/S is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join its PMO, supporting and coordinating projects across the R&D organization. You will work with hardware and software development projects, epics and workstreams, and help manage the backlog as part of broader product development programs.

Responsibilities

• Managing hardware and/or software development projects from initiation through development to release.
• Coordinating projects, epics and workstreams within larger product development programs.
• Managing and prioritising the backlog of product ideas and development initiatives.
• Building project plans and tracking milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
• Collaborating with R&D, Production and other stakeholders to align priorities.
• Identifying blockers and driving timely resolutions.
• Monitoring project risks and issues with ownership and mitigation.
• Providing clear status updates and escalating major risks and decisions.
• Facilitating project meetings and ensuring actions are followed through.
• Creating transparency and structure in a dynamic environment where priorities change.

Job description

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join Ellab’s Project Management Office (PMO), where you will support and coordinate projects across our R&D organization.

If you have some experience working in a project-driven, technical environment and are ready to take the next step in your project management career, this could be the opportunity for you. You will work across different products, technologies and development initiatives, gaining broad exposure to Ellab’s product portfolio and some of our key programs.

You won’t be doing it alone. You will become part of an experienced PMO team of Project Managers and Product Owners who will support you as you build your capabilities and progressively take ownership of more complex projects.

What you will do

• Managing hardware and/or software development projects from initiation through development to successful release
• Coordinating projects, epics and workstreams that form part of larger product development programs
• Managing and prioritasing the backlog of incoming product ideas and development initiatives
• Building project plans and keeping activities, milestones, dependencies and deliverables on track
• Working closely with R&D, Production and other stakeholders to align priorities and expectations
• Identifying blockers and driving actions to resolve them in a timely manner
• Identifying and following up on project risks and issues, ensuring appropriate ownership and mitigation
• Providing clear project status updates and escalating significant risks, issues and decisions when needed
• Facilitating project meetings and ensuring decisions and actions are followed through
• Helping create transparency and structure in a dynamic environment where priorities and new initiatives can change quickly

Who we are looking for

You bring experience from coordinating cross-functional work and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Ideally, this experience has been gained in an R&D, engineering, product development, technology, or manufacturing environment, where navigating complexity and building strong relationships are key to success.

We imagine that you:

• Have some previous experience in project management, project coordination or a similar role
• Have worked with R&D, engineering, software, hardware, product development or another technical environment
• Can bring structure to complex or sometimes ambiguous situations
• Take ownership and actively follow up rather than waiting for things to happen
• Communicate clearly and are comfortable raising risks, issues and blockers
• Are organized and able to manage several activities and priorities at the same time
• Have a flexible mindset and can adapt when priorities or circumstances change
• Are curious and motivated to understand both the products you work with and the people developing them

A technical or engineering educational background is an advantage, but not a requirement. Practical experience working successfully in a technical environment can be just as relevant.

Experience with project management tools and agile ways of working is an advantage.
