Job description

Are you ready to take the next step in your buying career and work hands-on with textiles, product development and international suppliers?

Join the DENIM team at PIECES, where you'll be part of developing products from the first idea and material sourcing through to final orders. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues and suppliers, and you'll gradually take on more responsibility as you build your buying expertise.

YOUR TEAM

You will work closely with the Product Responsible who owns and drives the category, while being an integrated part of our wider Product team across Buying, Design and Technical.

We work closely across categories and functions, share information and help each other keep track of the details needed to move our collections forward. We believe the strongest results are created together, and we value a positive and supportive working environment where we make room for both individual responsibility and collaboration.

YOUR ROLE

As Junior Buyer, you'll be involved throughout the buying process, with a particular focus on product development, supplier dialogue and keeping the process on track.

You'll work with textiles, product details, orders and data, using your analytical approach to support decisions and improve the way we work. As you grow in the role, you'll gradually take on more responsibility within your area.

Your responsibilities include:

  • contributing to product development and sourcing textiles and materials for new styles
  • communicating daily with suppliers and aligning on product details, development and quality
  • placing purchase orders and following up on production, deliveries and timelines
  • working with product and order data to create structure and support decision-making
  • coordinating with buyers, designers, sourcing and sales throughout the development process

You can expect approximately two international trips per year as part of the role.

YOUR BENEFITS

This role gives you the opportunity to build strong buying expertise while working closely with products, textiles and suppliers.

You can expect:

  • hands-on experience across product development, sourcing, orders and production follow-up
  • close collaboration with experienced colleagues across buying, sourcing, design and sales
  • direct contact with international suppliers and insight into how products move from idea to final order
  • the opportunity to gradually take ownership of more tasks and responsibilities as you develop
YOUR PROFILE

You’re genuinely interested in products and product development, with a particular interest in textiles and materials. You also enjoy working analytically with data and processes and are comfortable taking responsibility for your own tasks and following them through.

We imagine that you:

  • Have one to two years of relevant experience within buying, product development or a similar role, including hands-on experience with textiles
  • Have a relevant educational background within buying, textiles, fashion or a related field
  • Have a structured and analytical approach and enjoy working with data and figures
  • Are confident using Excel and digital systems. Experience with Power BI is an advantage
  • Work independently, take ownership and follow tasks through from start to finish
  • Communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken

Location: Aarhus, Denmark. Please note that this position requires physical presence at our Aarhus office.
