Job summary

Banedanmark is seeking an IT Project Manager to coordinate the deployment and transformation of the Traffic Planning System (TPS). You will lead multiple workstreams, including software releases, environment setup, data migration, and transition to a new version of the supplier’s product, while managing dependencies and risks.

The role requires strong coordination across IT, OT, operations and suppliers in a matrix organization, ensuring momentum, clear planning and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex IT projects or programmes
• Experience with multi-system IT projects and stakeholders
• Understanding of IT systems, software development, and deployment processes
• Ability to understand technical discussions and identify dependencies
• Strong communication with technical teams, users and management
• Experience with migration, upgrades, or large software releases is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and follow up on projects and activities around the traffic planning system
• Plan and coordinate the transition to the new version of the system and the development, testing and deployment of releases and customizations
• Manage dependencies and interfaces between the planning system and surrounding IT/OT systems
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and actions across projects
• Ensure clear planning, defined responsibilities and follow-through on actions
• Provide status reporting and act as day-to-day coordination with the product supplier; escalate major decisions to leadership
