Job description

International Logistics Coordinator, Europe

At Taconic Biosciences, we believe outstanding customer service starts with reliable execution, strong teamwork, and attention to detail.

We are looking for an International Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of international shipments across Europe.

This is a hands‑on operational role for someone who thrives on creating structure, solving day‑to‑day challenges, and working closely with colleagues across countries. Your primary focus will be ensuring that shipments are delivered safely, compliantly, and on time, making a direct contribution to our customers' success.

Why this role?

Taconic supports critical pharmaceutical and biomedical research around the world. Every shipment we coordinate contributes to helping our customers advance scientific discovery and develop tomorrow's medicines.

As International Logistics Coordinator, you will become an important part of our European Operations team, ensuring the smooth flow of shipments across countries while working closely with colleagues in Denmark, Germany, the United States, and across Europe.

Your responsibilities

You will coordinate international logistics activities supporting Taconic's European operations and ensure the efficient execution of domestic and international shipments.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating domestic and international shipments across Europe.
  • Preparing and maintaining import/export and customs documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with country‑specific transportation and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating transportation bookings with freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving transportation issues.
  • Supporting urgent and time‑critical shipments when required.
  • Working closely with our Customer Service team in Germany and collaborating daily with colleagues in the United States.
  • Collaborating with Warehouse Operations, Customer Experience, Animal Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Maintaining shipment records, logistics data, and performance metrics using ERP systems and Excel.
  • Contributing to process improvements where relevant while ensuring reliable day‑to‑day operations.
You will thrive in this role if

You enjoy working in a hands‑on operational role where reliable execution matters. You are motivated by keeping things moving, finding practical solutions, and collaborating with colleagues across countries. You take ownership of your work, stay focused when priorities change, and enjoy being part of a team that supports one another.

Ideally, you:

  • Have 2–5 years of experience within international logistics, freight forwarding, export administration, or a similar operational logistics role.
  • Have experience coordinating international shipments and customs documentation.
  • Are an advanced Excel user and have solid experience working with ERP systems.
  • Are organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Have a strong service mindset and enjoy solving operational challenges.
  • Communicate confidently with colleagues and stakeholders across Europe and the United States.
  • Speak and write Danish and English fluently. German is an advantage.

A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage, but relevant experience and a strong operational mindset are equally important.

You will become part of our small Danish Operations team, covering Logistics, Warehouse, and Shipping. We work closely together, support each other across functions, and believe the best results are achieved through teamwork. You will receive thorough training across the team's operational tasks, enabling everyone to provide cover during holidays and absences.

Our site in Lille Skensved is home to approximately 60 dedicated colleagues working across Operations, Animal Care, Quality, Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, HR, and other support functions. Although we are part of a global organization, we have maintained the atmosphere of a close‑knit workplace where people know each other, help each other, and enjoy working together.

Your closest day‑to‑day collaboration will be with our Customer Service team in Germany, while also working closely with colleagues in the United States and across Europe.

We offer an open and informal working environment built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. We value initiative, knowledge sharing, and a positive attitude, and we believe that a good sense of humour and a supportive culture are an important part of creating a great workplace.
