Job summary

Demant is seeking a DSP Engineer to join a cross-functional SAFe Scrum team at the Demant Headquarter, Smørum. You will develop next‑generation hearing aid DSP algorithms for real‑time embedded software and balance sound quality with power constraints.

You’ll collaborate with Audiologists, Embedded Software Engineers, Test Specialists, and Product Owners, starting onsite day one with a possibility to work from home up to two days per week. Start date is 1 December 2026.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Biomedical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
3–5 years of experience in DSP and real-time audio processing.
Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python.
Interest in hearing science, psychoacoustics, and/or auditory modelling.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of next-generation hearing aid technology and device software.
Develop and optimise DSP algorithms and audiological features for real-time embedded products.
Take DSP concepts from early development and simulation through implementation, testing and product validation.
Contribute to system design and technical decision‑making, balancing sound quality, performance, power and other device constraints.
Document your work clearly, from early concepts through to feature descriptions, and help keep tools and onboarding materials up to date.
