Job summary

Demant A/S in Denmark is seeking a DSP Engineer to contribute to next‑generation hearing aid technology and device software. You will develop and optimize DSP algorithms for real-time embedded products while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

The role emphasizes balancing sound quality, performance, and power within an Agile environment. The position requires a strong DSP foundation, a master’s degree, and 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Biomedical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in DSP and real-time audio processing.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python.
  • Interest in hearing science, psychoacoustics, or auditory modelling.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of next-generation hearing aid technology and device software.
  • Develop and optimise DSP algorithms and audiological features for real-time embedded products.
  • Take DSP concepts from early development and simulation through implementation, testing and product validation.
  • Contribute to system design and technical decision‑making, balancing sound quality, performance, power and other device constraints.
  • Document your work clearly, from early concepts through to feature descriptions, and help keep our tools, workflows, and onboarding materials in good shape.
