Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Denmark seeks a Country HSE Specialist to join the HSE Team in Middlefart or Ballerup. You will support Danish projects in the Nordic OU and drive HSE tasks throughout the project life cycle, ensuring the highest safety and environmental standards.

You will work with project management, customers and contractors to implement continuous improvement, manage risk and deliver safe, high-quality results across the Nordic region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Previous experience of HSE tasks in projects.
• Professional HSE certification is seen as a plus.
• Knowledgeable of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 certifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to operate within global teams.
• Self-driven and persistent attitude towards challenges. You work actively and professionally both independently and as a part of a team.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Danish.

Responsibilities

• Implement and drive continuous improvement of HSE processes in Denmark.
• Prepare and update HSE documentation and plans for tender and projects.
• Attend clarification meetings with customers (in person and remote).
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual and internal HSE requirements.
• Produce reports for project reviews and support subcontractors’ HSE documentation.

We are looking for a Country HSE Specialist to join our HSE Team in Middlefart or Ballerup. In this role, you will support our Danish projects in the Nordic Operation Unit (OU) and focus on the HSE tasks in the HSE department and throughout the project’s life cycle. You will be ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance are documented, monitored and maintained. You will also be driving continuous improvement in all areas of HSE.

How you’ll make an impact

• Implement and work with continuous improvement of Hitachi Energy operating unit management system and local requirements in Denmark for the operating unit of the Nordic OU
• Prepare and update HSE documentation in accordance with the internal process. Submit all preliminary HSE plans to the customer in accordance with the tender submission dates.
• Attend clarification meetings and workshops with the customer (both in person and remotely).
• Prepare the Project HSE Plan as well as other HSE-related documentation such as the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan.
• Ensure activities under the scope of Hitachi Energy are in compliance with legal and contractual HSE requirements as well as internal HSE requirements.
• Produce reports for Project Reviews, both internal and Customer, and attend the Project Review meetings to ensure the Hitachi Energy HSE Operating System remains suitable, adequate, and effective.
• Review HSE documentation from all Hitachi Energy subcontractors and support subcontractors to meet internal and Project HSE requirements.
