Job summary

PeakFleet in Aalborg is seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team. You will conduct thorough inspections of historic buildings, assess their condition and identify repairs or restoration work.

You will collaborate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to develop preservation plans, apply specialized techniques, ensure safety and code compliance, and manage budgets and timelines. The ideal candidate has a degree in Architecture, at least three years in historic preservation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 3+ years experience as an Architect, preferably in historic preservation.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations and construction methods.
• Familiarity with specialized techniques and materials used in historic preservation projects.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural design software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of historical buildings and structures to assess their condition and identify repairs or restoration work.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to develop plans for preservation and restoration projects.
• Utilize specialized techniques and materials to preserve historical features while also making necessary updates for safety and code compliance.
• Manage project budgets and timelines ensuring all work is completed within established parameters.
• Oversee construction crews and contractors during preservation projects providing guidance as needed.
• Keep detailed records of all work completed including photographs, materials used and any challenges encountered during the preservation process.
