Job summary

GN Store Nord A/S is seeking a Head of Platforms & Tools to lead our Platforms & Tools team within Business Operations from Copenhagen, with a hybrid work setup. You will set strategic direction for the business application landscape, ensuring governance, adoption, and secure, scalable workflows across the Enterprise Division.

We are looking for a strategic, execution-focused and experienced people manager to lead our Platforms & Tools team within Business Operations. This is an opportunity to set strategic direction while ensuring operational discipline, creating scalable, secure and user-friendly ways of working across the organisation.

In the role of Head of Platforms & Tools in the Business Operations team, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will manage the strategy, governance and daily operations of the business application landscape, ensuring that platforms and tools support collaboration, delivery and informed decision-making.

The Team you will be part of:

Business Operations translates strategy into aligned and frictionless execution. We work across operating model, governance, performance insights and tooling to enable the Enterprise Division’s strategic priorities.

The Platforms & Tools team owns the business application layer operating on top of GN’s corporate IT foundation. We partner closely with business leaders, Digital, Data & IT (DDI), Legal and CISO to provide fit-for-purpose platforms, secure workflows and practical support that reduce operational friction. We aspire to create clarity, autonomy and scalable self-service for teams across the division.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

You will provide strategic and people leadership for the Platforms & Tools team, setting direction for the business application landscape, developing the team’s capabilities and ensuring effective governance, support and adoption across the Enterprise Division.

• Define and manage the strategy, roadmap and lifecycle management for business-facing applications, including Azure DevOps, Confluence, Dassault PLM, BlackDuck and Coverity.
• Act as Business Process Owner by establishing standard delivery workflows and practical standard operating procedures across the Enterprise Division.
• Manage, develop and support a multidisciplinary team of Application Owners, Application Managers, Systems Specialists and Support Leads, creating clarity around priorities, accountabilities and delivery.
• Lead the Application Owner and Application Management function, covering platform configuration, workflow design, licensing, budgets and application lifecycle activities.
• Develop user support and enablement through user assistance, self-service knowledge bases and super-user networks.
• Promote the practical and secure use of generative AI, smart integrations and workflow automation in line with GN’s overall AI efforts.
• Establish scalable standards and governance that embed cyber security, secure data handling and compliance into cross-functional workflows, acting as the primary business counterpart to DDI and CISO.

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

• Bring demonstrated leadership and people-management experience from Business Systems, Application Ownership, Digital Workplace, IT Systems or Technical Operations in a technology or product organisation.
• Have a demonstrated track record of leading business platform, shared tooling or internal operational-system portfolios, including setting direction and delivering measurable operational outcomes.
• Bring solid experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders in a complex organisation, aligning priorities, managing dependencies and navigating trade-offs with sound judgement.
• Have solid expertise in configuring and managing collaborative platforms, such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, PLM and DevSecOps tooling, including relevant governance, licensing and lifecycle considerations.
• May bring experience with generative AI integrations, Copilots and workflow automation, alongside secure application management, data governance and access controls.

The role is preferably based in Copenhagen with a hybrid working arrangement. However, remote working options may also be considered for the right candidate.
