Job summary

Hans Følsgaard is seeking a Head of Operations to build the dedicated Operations function across Purchasing, Warehouse, Transport, Sales Support and Master Data, and to create stronger cohesion between Operations and business areas and across countries. You will report to the CEO and become a key member of Følsgaard’s management team.

Qualifications

• Solid management experience from Operations, Supply Chain or a similar area in an international technical trading or manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Centralise complexity — build “just enough” specialised capabilities and prerequisites.
• Improve execution — service level, delivery accuracy, warehouse performance, data quality and lead time must be clearly measured and continuously improved.
• Drive improvements and performance transparency — clear KPIs for each function and for each individual.
• Drive adoption rather than compliance — success is measured by whether the commercial teams actively want to move more tasks to Operations because we solve them better, faster and more professionally than they can themselves.
• Build one Følsgaard — contribute to permanently breaking down the “us and them” mindset between Operations and the commercial teams.
• Develop the organization — move decisions closer to the relevant expertise, create ownership rather than escalation, and develop managers and employees to take responsibility in close collaboration with HR and the business.
• Leverage automation and AI — work with IT to make processes faster and more scalable.
• Take responsibility for HS within the overall QSHE work — ensure that Health & Safety is a natural part of operational management and supports risk management, efficient execution and a responsible business.
