Job summary

Maersk Tankers is seeking an experienced Head of IT Operations & Applications to lead the delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of global IT services and business applications. You will lead a team of IT professionals, ensure secure and scalable operations, and drive IT service management processes across the enterprise.

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Head of IT Operations & Applications to lead the delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of our global IT services and business applications landscape.

As part of the Technology leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our IT operations, support services, infrastructure, and application portfolio enable the business to perform efficiently, securely, and at scale. Leading a talented team of IT professionals, you will foster a nimble and resilient technology organization that can adapt quickly to business priorities while delivering high-quality services across the enterprise.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Develop and support the IT Operations & Applications team, fostering a collaborative, service-oriented, and nimble culture
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of business-critical applications, IT services, and end-user support
• Manage and continuously improve IT service management processes, including incident, problem, change, and request management
• Lead application lifecycle management, including upgrades, integrations, vendor management, and retirement planning
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with agreed service levels
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and colleagues across Technology to identify opportunities, improve processes, and ensure operational alignment and governance

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Proven leadership experience in IT operations, application management, and technology service delivery
• Experience managing enterprise applications, end-user services, and IT service management processes, preferably within an ITIL-based environment
• Business and commercial understanding with experience managing vendors, budgets, and key technology partnerships
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to align technology priorities with business goals
