Job summary

Maersk Tankers is seeking an experienced Head of IT Operations & Applications to lead global IT services and business applications. You will guide a skilled team, ensure reliable operation of critical systems, and drive service delivery improvements across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and shape IT strategy to enable scalable, secure business performance. Copenhagen, Denmark-based, with a focus on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in IT operations, application management, and technology service delivery.
• Experience managing enterprise applications, end-user services, and IT service management processes (ITIL-based).
• Business and commercial understanding with experience managing vendors, budgets, and technology partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the IT Operations & Applications team, fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of business-critical applications, IT services, and end-user support.
• Manage and continuously improve IT service management processes, including incident, problem, change, and request management.
• Lead application lifecycle management, including upgrades, integrations, vendor management, and retirement planning.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and Technology to identify opportunities and ensure governance.
