Job summary

d'Angleterre in Copenhagen is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead and develop our Engineering team and ensure flawless operation of the hotel’s technical systems.

You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building management systems, manage budgets and CAPEX, and drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Fluent English and Danish preferred; strong leadership in hospitality operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in hospitality or similar complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS).
• Experience managing budgets and CAPEX projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering team.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of technical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, VMs/BMS).
• Develop preventive maintenance programmes to maximise asset reliability.
• Manage departmental budgets, maintenance costs and energy consumption.
• Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, health and safety regulations and technical standards.
