Job summary

Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Grants Management Substitution Specialist to provide temporary capacity to Country Offices, ensuring continuity, quality and donor compliance across the full grant cycle in a dynamic humanitarian environment.

You will deploy to Country Offices when needed and support HQ-managed grants, coordinating with programme, operations, finance and management teams to deliver high-quality donor proposals and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of grants management experience incl. proposal writing, report writing, donor compliance and project cycle management.
• At least one year in the field with a humanitarian or development organisation, preferably in grants management or programme roles.
• Excellent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Deploy to DRC Country Offices to cover temporary gaps in grants management.
• Support HQ-managed grants and projects including proposal development, reporting, donor compliance and contract management.
• Contribute to the development and compilation of donor proposals and reports that are consistent and compliant with donor regulations and DRC policies.
• Coordinate internal and external reporting processes with programme, operations and finance teams.
• Review donor contracts and advise on obligations, regulations and compliance.
• Maintain grants management systems, files, trackers and deadlines.
• Support grant kick-off, review and closure meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Provide training and coaching on donor compliance and grants management to staff and partners.
• Ensure partnership management cycles comply with DRC policy when required.
