Job summary

Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Grants Management Substitution Specialist to provide temporary grants management capacity across country offices from Copenhagen. You will support proposal development, donor compliance and reporting, stepping in to cover gaps and ensure continuity across the grant cycle.

You will work with programme, operations, finance and management teams, travel to field sites as needed, and contribute to high-quality donor proposals and timely reports while maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of relevant grants management experience, including proposal and report writing.
• Experience with donor compliance, contract management and project cycle management.
• Fluent written and spoken English; willingness to travel and deploy to multiple locations.
• Experience supervising, training or mentoring staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deploy to Country Offices to cover temporary gaps in grants management.
• Support HQ grants and projects during non-deployment periods.
• Develop donor proposals and ensure alignment with fundraising strategy.
• Coordinate reporting processes and ensure donor compliance and quality.
• Review donor contracts and advise teams on obligations and regulations.
• Maintain grant files, trackers and deadlines in the grants system.
• Support Kick-Off, Review and Closure meetings across teams.
• Provide training and mentoring on donor compliance and grant cycle management.
