Job summary

IMC in Aarhus, Denmark is launching a new power and gas trading technology team. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you’ll help build a brand-new stack supporting energy trading, from exchange connectivity to pricing and analytics.

You’ll complete a five-week Global Trainee Program with engineers and traders, then join the local Energy Trading team to design real-time systems, handle large data, and grow in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Final year Computer Science/Software Engineering or related degree (graduating 2027).
• Strong programming skills in C++/Java.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Interest in financial markets; no prior knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance technology that supports energy trading.
• Work on the full software development lifecycle, from idea to deployment.
• Develop real-time pricing and trading systems, exchange connectivity, and analytics tools.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and other engineers.
• Be part of a new local team in Aarhus and shape its growth and culture.
