Job summary

IMC is launching a new power and gas trading business in Aarhus, Denmark, the European hub for energy trading. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you’ll help build a brand-new technology stack supporting all aspects of energy trading from pricing to analytics.

You’ll join a Global Trainee Program in your first year and contribute from day one to this exciting venture. You’ll work in a highly collaborative Energy Trading team in Aarhus, shaping its growth and culture.

Qualifications

• Final year CS/Software Engineering student graduating in 2026.
• Strong programming skills in C++/Java and solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Fluent in English and motivated to build systems for trading tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance technology for energy trading.
• Work on the full software development lifecycle from idea to deployment.
• Develop real-time pricing/trading systems, exchange connectivity, and analytics tools.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and other engineers.
• Be part of a new Aarhus team and help grow its culture.
