Job summary

IMC is launching a new power and gas trading business in Aarhus, Denmark—the European hub for energy trading. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you’ll help build a brand-new technology stack supporting energy trading from exchange connectivity and pricing to trading algorithms and real-time data analysis.

You’ll join a five-week Global Trainee Program and become part of the Aarhus Energy Trading team, designing real-time systems, processing large data sets, and solving engineering challenges that

Qualifications

• Final-year in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree; graduating in 2027.
• Strong programming skills in C++/Java.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Full professional fluency in English.
• Interest in financial markets and building systems from ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance technology that supports energy trading.
• Work on the full software development lifecycle, from idea to deployment.
• Develop real-time pricing and trading systems, exchange connectivity, and analytics tools.
• Collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and other engineers.
• Be part of a new local team in Aarhus and shape its growth and culture.
