Job summary

VELUX Group is seeking an Experienced Global Quality Specialist in mechatronics/electronics, to join the Global Quality team at Skjern/Østbirk. The role focuses on bringing new technology into production while embedding quality from concept to operations, reporting to the Senior Area Quality Manager.

Skjern is the primary location with optional hybrid work; at least two days on-site per week are expected, Østbirk may serve as a secondary location.

Qualifications

• Technical background in electronics/mechatronics or related field.
• Experience driving quality in complex projects and coordinating across functions.
• Strong manufacturing and/or mechatronic assembly experience; familiar with ISO standards and APQP.

Responsibilities

• Act as Global Quality Lead for NPL and Engineering Change teams, coordinating quality activities from target setting through implementation.
• Ensure a holistic, end-to-end approach to quality throughout the value chain.
• Support Supplier Quality as SME during industrialisation and approval activities.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and projects across the organisation.
• Drive and support resolution of quality issues across supply and production companies.

Overview

Experienced Global Quality Specialist in mechatronics/electronics – VELUX Skjern/Østbirk

Do you want to play a key role in bringing new technology into production and supply chain while ensuring high quality standards?

Join Global Quality at VELUX and bridge Product Development with our global supply chain, ensuring quality is embedded from the earliest product concepts through project execution and into stable operations.

Skjern is the primary work location with optional hybrid working; a minimum on-site presence of two days per week is expected. Østbirk may be used as a secondary location.

You will report to the Senior Area Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Global Quality Lead for the supply chain in New Product Launch (NPL) and Engineering Change teams, coordinating and driving quality activities from target setting through implementation and improvements.
• Ensure a holistic, transparent, and end‑to‑end approach to quality throughout the value chain.
• Support Supplier Quality as a Process/Part Subject Matter Expert during industrialisation and approval activities.
• Support additional quality improvement initiatives and projects across the organisation.
• Drive and support the resolution of quality issues across supply and production companies.

Qualifications

• Have a technical background, e.g. a B.Sc. in Electronics, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Have solid experience driving quality in complex projects.
• Experienced in project management and comfortable coordinating activities and stakeholders across a matrix organisation.
• Have strong experience with the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical and/or mechatronic components.
• Are skilled in quality management tools and practices such as FMEA, RCA, MSA, statistical methods, and Six Sigma.
• Are familiar with ISO standards and the APQP methodology.
