Job summary

Deel is seeking a skilled Payroll Implementation Lead to manage end-to-end deployment and data migration of client payroll systems for Deel’s customers. You will guide onboarding, configure interfaces, ensure accuracy, and provide training and ongoing support.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance and client teams, maintain project plans, manage timelines, and escalate risks to leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery for a global payroll platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location.
• Experience with payroll systems and software.
• Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll system implementation for Deel clients, including data migration and system configuration.
• Lead onboarding with clients, schedule kickoff meetings, and maintain project plans.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and IT to gather requirements and ensure tax/compliance alignment.
• Define payroll data requirements, interfaces, and reporting needs for go-live.
• Manage risk, issues, and scope changes; report status to senior leadership.
• Provide training and post-implementation support to clients and internal teams.
• Ensure accurate, secure data migration and validation across systems.
