Job summary

Ascendis Pharma seeks a Director to lead the Group Accounting & Reporting team in Denmark, guiding external IFRS reporting and policy development. You will head a six-person team, collaborating with global finance and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate, timely filings and strong controls.

Based in Hellerup, you will shape accounting practices, address US GAAP differences, and drive automation and AI-enabled improvements across reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Extensive IFRS accounting knowledge and ability to prepare memos and annual reports.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting is advantageous.
• Experience in a global group with multiple entities and reporting frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Head the technical accounting and reporting area to support Vision 2030.
• Ensure timely, compliant external reporting under IFRS (quarterly and annual).
• Maintain IFRS policies and address US GAAP differences where needed.
• Oversee complex accounting matters including leases and share-based payments.
• Develop IFRS reporting procedures across the group and drive global alignment.
• Collaborate with Global Finance on technical accounting issues.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, controls and insights.
