Job summary

Ascendis Pharma A/S is seeking a Director to lead the Group Accounting & Reporting team in Denmark. You will drive IFRS external reporting for quarterly and annual disclosures and ensure IFRS compliance and SEC readiness while collaborating with global finance and cross-functional partners.

Ideal candidates will possess a cand.merc.aud. degree and minimum 10 years in audit/accounting, with strong writing and communication skills, and an interest in leveraging AI to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/masters-level accounting degree with IFRS knowledge and external reporting experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in audit and/or accounting.
• Experience with IFRS standards and preparing accounting memos and annual reports.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting is an advantage.
• Experience in a global group with multiple foreign entities and cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Accounting & Reporting team and drive external reporting.
• Ensure timely, IFRS-compliant quarterly and annual reporting.
• Maintain IFRS policies and address US GAAP differences where applicable.
• Oversee complex accounting matters (leases, contracts, share-based payments, partnerships).
• Advance IFRS reporting procedures and collaborate with Global Finance.
