Aarhus University Hospital's Department of Molecular Medicine (MOMA) is seeking an experienced software developer for a full-time, permanent position (37 hours/week) starting October 2026 or as soon as possible, thereafter. The Department of Molecular Medicine (MOMA) at Aarhus University Hospital is looking for an experienced software developer for a full‑time permanent position, 37 hours per week, starting October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
As personalised medicine continues to expand, you will be part of a closely integrated team of software developers and bioinformaticians working on the development and operation of bioinformatics pipelines and IT solutions for clinical diagnostics and research in a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) laboratory. Your work will be carried out in close collaboration with users, including clinical academics, biomedical laboratory scientists and medical doctors, and will have direct relevance for patients with cancer or genetic diseases. You will also take part in interdisciplinary collaborations both within Aarhus University Hospital and with external partners from Aarhus University, the Danish National Genome Center and the other Danish regions. Opportunities to take on project management responsibilities may arise, depending on your interests and qualifications.
Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and IT solutions for clinical diagnostics and research in a NGS laboratory.
Collaborate closely with clinical academics, laboratory scientists, and medical doctors, providing technical support and ensuring solutions meet user needs.
Participate in interdisciplinary projects across the hospital, university, and national partners.
Contribute to project management activities as opportunities arise.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory child certificate.
