g2 Recruitment is seeking a Freelance Mechanical Engineer for an innovative product development project in Denmark. The role covers concept to production, with a focus on 3D CAD design, FEA, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration across electronics and software teams.

The successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical engineering background, hands-on problem-solving skills, and experience in R&D environments. Hybrid working flexibility and a competitive hourly rate are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical Engineering background.
• Experience in R&D and product development environments.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Inventor, or CATIA.
• Experience with FEA, prototyping, and design-for-manufacture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset.
• Freelancing experience not essential but highly desired.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD.
• Support product development from concept through to manufacture.
• Perform FEA and engineering calculations to validate designs.
• Build, test, and refine prototypes.
• Collaborate with electronics, software, and systems engineers.
• Drive design improvements, solve technical challenges, and support product testing.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product delivery.
