Job summary

Levitate is seeking a Mechanical R&D Engineer to join our Copenhagen team. You will be a key technical force, solving complex mechanical problems, prototyping, testing, and iterating designs from concept through to manufacturability.

Strong curiosity, hands-on mindset, and a passion for understanding how things work are essential. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team across design, materials, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing, collaborating with clinicians and end-users to translate

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Proven experience developing physical products with strong CAD and mechanical design skills.
• Experience with mechanisms, prototyping, testing and moving products toward manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Exploring and developing new mechanical concepts and technologies.
• Mechanical design, CAD, and mechanism development.
• Materials selection and structural engineering.
• Rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept builds.
• Designing test fixtures and dedicated test machines.
• Testing and verification including fatigue and durability.
