Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for Product Innovation - Denmark

Do you want to be a part of our successful Product Development team where you will be working with mechanical engineering in a creative and self‑driven process?

The Job

You will get unique opportunities to work with all aspects of mechanical development. We are responsible for developing instruments from concept until released to production and sales. You will join a highly skilled project team and as Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be overall responsible for developing the mechanical design and deeply involved in the design process.

You work with the most advanced technology, together with highly skilled colleagues in strong teams and multidisciplinary projects involving all kinds of experts in their fields.

We work in a matrix organization and you will also be part of the Mechanical group where you will find the mechanical backbone in our professional community.

The Candidate

You have a strong mindset to take responsibility and leadership within all activities, which influence hardware development and you understand the balance of being involved and letting people work independently.

As a person, you are communicative, well‑structured, ambitious and a strong team player. We expect you to have a positive mindset even when things challenge you and deadlines are tight.

Finally, you must share our values and passion for mechanical and technology development at a very high and challenging level.

Qualifications

The candidate holds a degree in mechanical engineering and must be fluent in English and Danish.

The preferred candidate will have minimum 5 years working experience in the majority of the following:

  • Product development in metals and/or plastic
  • 3D CAD (We use Autodesk Inventor)
  • Tolerance chain calculation
  • Structural mechanical calculation
  • Flow calculation
  • Mechatronic development
  • Instrument design e.g. high precision flow systems
  • Multi‑disciplinary product development processes in all phases of development
  • Planning, coordination and communication
  • Structured and process‑oriented work approach
  • Keeping deadlines in tight schedules
