• Design and build a distributed data platform running across laundries worldwide
• Translate business needs and ideas into concrete, working solutions with a short real world feedback loop
• Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and growing the future software team
• Lay the foundation for a healthy engineering culture, including code quality, documentation, and DevOps practices

What you’ll bring:

• A master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar
• At least five years of professional experience, covering some of (and interest in most of) the following: Docker, databases, backend development, data analysis & AI, distributed systems, observability, test automation, and CI/CD
• You work independently, methodically, and know when to ask for help
• You thrive in an environment where not everything is defined up front and where direction may change as we learn
• You think long-term in architecture and patterns, but aren’t afraid of temporary solutions when they make sense
• You contribute hands‑on to implementation, both leading the way and backing up the rest of the team
• You’re driven by curiosity and engagement, and the kind of person who thinks: “If it needs to be built, I’ll learn how” — whether it’s infrastructure, dataflows, or frontend
• A Danish work permit and proximity to Odense as the team works in‑office.

Mezcada is JENSEN‑GROUP’s next‑generation software platform for industrial laundries worldwide, a hybrid MES/SCADA system that gives laundries full visibility into performance, bottlenecks, and energy consumption. It provides the data foundation needed to predict maintenance, optimize flow, and make better decisions on the laundry floor.

That said, you don’t need experience with industry, SCADA, or MES. In fact, we’re looking for someone who brings a fresh perspective and dares to question the assumptions the rest of us might take for granted.

The platform uses distributed edge computing and is continuously delivered to customer sites on‑prem, as well as to the cloud for analysis and support. Machine and sensor data is collected via OPC-UA and MQTT and made available via a well‑designed API, both to the customer and to the frontend.
