Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of streaming data solutions and API data extraction.
  • Hands-on Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data & AI experience.
  • Strong Python, SQL, and PySpark skills.
  • Solid data modeling knowledge (Star Schema, Data Vault).
  • Experience with data extraction tools (ADF, Fivetran, DLTHub).
  • Proficiency with BI/data orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster).
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps, test automation.

What You’ll Do
  • Translate technical data concepts into clear business value and ensure systems align with organisational objectives and drive value
  • Design and build scalable ETL pipelines to support data integration and transformation needs
  • Use cutting-edge tools and technologies like Databricks, Azure, dbt, Fabric to create meaningful solutions for our clients
  • Develop data models and architectures that enable efficient querying, reporting and analysis in complex environments
  • Ensure best practices through CI/CD pipelines, test automation, DevOps and MLOps approaches
  • Drive clarity on both the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ behind engineering solutions
What We’re Looking For
  • A master’s degree and significant practical experience (minimum 3 years, ideally 5+) as a data engineer or similar
  • A consulting mindset with the ability to communicate and collaborate with clients off- and on-site (since we work with both international and Danish clients, proficiency in Danish is a plus)
  • Hands-on expertise in Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and the wider Azure Data & AI ecosystem
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL and ideally PySpark
  • Solid theoretical foundations in data modelling and architecture, with knowledge of concepts such as Star schema and Data Vault
  • Experience with data extraction tools (e.g. ADF, Fivetran, DLTHub, Lakeflow Connect) and proficiency with BI/data orchestration tools (e.g. dbt, Airflow, Dagster)
  • Familiarity with Git version control, CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps and test automation
  • Knowledge of streaming data solutions and API data extraction
  • Commitment to continuous learning including achieving relevant certifications
