Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to perform on-site installation, alignment, and repair of electron microscopes and related analytical instruments across the Nordics. You will validate performance, train customers, and provide ongoing support to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires hands-on experience with SEM/TEM/FIB, vacuum/high-voltage systems, and strong schematic literacy, plus a willingness to travel up to 75% in the Nordic region and occasionally

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics, Mechanics, Materials Science, Biology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating advanced instruments (SEM, TEM, FIB or similar).
• Experience with ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to read and interpret schematics and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Perform on-site installation, alignment and repair of electron microscopes and related systems.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance visits and preventive care.
• Provide customer support and mentorship to other field personnel.
• Build positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Complete training and submit field service reports accurately.
• Travel up to 50–75% of the time, primarily in the Nordics and occasionally elsewhere.
