Job summary

GN Group’s FalCom division in Ballerup, Denmark is seeking a Field Application Engineer to bring together prototype analogue and digital communication systems into reliable customer solutions. You will work hands-on with radios, intercoms, headsets, cables and software, bridging customer needs with R&D and Operations.

You will travel about 25 days per year for customer visits, field testing and technical support, while documenting setups and handovers and ensuring robust, scalable product

Qualifications

• A relevant technical background in electronics or embedded systems.
• At least 3 years of system integration experience.
• Ability to read electrical documentation, wiring tables, and schematics.
• Experience with lab work and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, multimeters, or USB analysers.
• Understanding of audio signal paths and related software settings.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping quality.
• Strong written and spoken English and customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate and validate prototype analogue and digital comms systems.
• Configure and test customer system setups with radios, headsets, and data devices.
• Develop and maintain connection and wiring documentation.
• Tune, verify and optimise audio profiles using FalCom tools.
• Troubleshoot across hardware, software, and connectivity interfaces.
• Support field tests, demos and technical trials.
• Document setups, test results and handover information.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate learnings into scalable solutions.
• Assist transitions from prototype to production deliveries.
