We are looking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our team at our global headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark.
You will join a pioneering and highly specialised team within FalCom, built on GN’s foundation as a global leader in intelligent audio solutions. You will work closely with colleagues across R&D, Customer Success, Sales, Product Management and Operations. The team includes specialists within software, audio, configurations, system integration and prototype development. We are international, collaborative, practical and passionate about solving complex customer challenges. You will report to Senior Manager Audio Engineering, Jens Kirkelund.
As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing FalCom’s products together into reliable customer solutions. You will work hands‑on with prototype communication and connectivity systems, including tactical radios, intercom systems, headsets, data devices, configurations and cables. Your work will take place both at our facilities in Ballerup and, when needed, in customer environments. You will act as an important link between customer needs, system integration and R&D development.
The role includes travel activity — expected to be approximately 25 days per year — for customer visits, field testing and technical support.
You are structured, detail‑oriented, and systematic in your approach to solving technical problems. You enjoy practical, hands‑on work, but you also understand the importance of documentation, traceability and clear communication.
You thrive with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of your tasks from initial customer need through system setup, testing and handover.
At the same time, you are a strong team player who knows when to involve the right technical specialists.
