Job summary

Spirii is seeking an Engineering Manager in Copenhagen to lead 1–2 agile engineering teams and own team health, delivery quality and growth. You collaborate with Product and Design to ensure value delivery, while shaping how the team adopts agentic development and scales engineering excellence.

You will drive engineering rigor, oversee architecture decisions, and mentor engineers, with focus on cloud-native solutions for eMobility platforms in a fast-growing startup context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or higher.
• 3+ years as Engineering Manager with direct reports.
• Background as a software engineer (backend or full-stack).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and production reliability.
• Experience improving engineering practices (automated testing, CI/CD, observability).
• Familiarity with DORA metrics or similar delivery measures.
• Experience enabling senior engineers and tech leads.
• Experience leading AI-assisted or agentic development adoption.
• Experience with AWS and containerised workloads.
• Experience in eMobility products and/or leading organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-2 engineering teams (6–12 engineers) and own team health and performance.
• Define success with Product; track delivery flow, reliability, and team health.
• Turn priorities into clear commitments and protect the team to finish work.
• Advance agentic development within the team and across Spirii.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other departments; communicate progress and risks.
