Job summary

Lunar, a Nordic challenger bank, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two senior squads in Aarhus and shape how we build with AI. You will own platform outcomes, drive reliability, adoption, and productivity while guiding teams toward scalable, internal customer-first solutions.

You will partner with Product and engineering leadership to map technical priorities to customer value, ensuring clear communication and measurable impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years leading engineering teams. You've helped senior ICs and tech leads set their own direction instead of directing from above. You've hired, coached, and managed performance.
• Platform engineering experience. You build for internal customers, think in leverage and adoption, and know the trade-offs of systems other teams rely on.
• Solid infrastructure chops. You know how systems get built, hosted, and scaled, and what pushes hosting and compute costs up or down.
• Real, hands-on experience with agentic coding tools, and genuine curiosity about where this goes next.
• A product instinct. You can say what a platform should do and why, set direction when things shift, and bring your team with you.

Responsibilities

• Lead two squads of senior engineers. Set direction, clear blockers, and give strong ICs room to do their best work.
• Own platform outcomes across both squads: reliability, paved roads, productivity, quality, adoption.
• Drive Lunar's shift to AI-native development. Move from ad-hoc experiments to embedded practice.
• Help decide where the builder-productivity platform goes next, aligning with customer needs and business goals.
• Partner with Product and other teams to map technical priorities to customer value and communicate expectations.
