Pleo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Authentication and Authorization team, shaping the identity strategy across SMB and Enterprise. You’ll drive secure, scalable systems and modernise our auth capabilities while guiding a migration from legacy services to a unified platform.

You’ll hire, coach and grow engineers, partner with Product, Security and Compliance, and ensure delivery with a strong emphasis on quality, security and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as an Engineering Manager with coaching and performance support.
• Hands-on depth in authentication/authorisation domains (OAuth, SAML, OIDC) and modern identity platforms.
• Architectural credibility with migrations and legacy constraints.
• Strong stakeholder management across engineering, product and risk-focused partners.
• Bias for action; able to lead through ambiguity and momentum.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy and execution roadmap for identity and auth across SMB and Enterprise.
• Drive delivery for the Authentication & Authorisation team to build secure, scalable systems.
• Roll out a new identity platform across Enterprise offerings.
• Define migration strategy between SMB legacy service and Enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Compliance and Core Platform teams.
• Hire, coach and grow a high-performing team.
