Job summary

Lunar is hiring an Engineering Manager in Aarhus to lead 1-2 cross-functional engineering teams and own the technical strategy for Core Banking. You will partner with Product to connect priorities to customer impact and drive end-to-end engineering quality across deployment pipelines.

You will shape how AI becomes a consistent, high-impact practice within the teams, while ensuring scalable, reliable systems in a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Solid infrastructure expertise and experience hosting, scaling systems.
• Familiarity with hosting cost optimisation decisions.
• Understanding of how data and AI intersect in a modern engineering org.
• Strategic clarity in guiding teams through transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-2 cross-functional engineering teams — setting direction, removing blockers, and enabling best work.
• Drive the technical strategy for Core Banking, translating industry trends into concrete build/ship decisions.
• Partner with Product and other business teams to align priorities with customer impact.
• Own engineering quality end-to-end — development practices to deployment, raising reliability and scalability.
• Shape AI adoption within teams to make it a core, high-impact practice.
