Job summary

DEIF A/S is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to lead regression testing and automation in an embedded software environment. You will design and maintain automated regression tests, while also performing targeted manual testing to ensure end-to-end quality across our product line.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, building scalable regression coverage and contributing to a robust testing strategy in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in testing embedded software applications.
• Hands-on skills in Python, JavaScript, and test automation frameworks (e.g. Pytest, Playwright).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to details.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• ISTQB or TMAP certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute regression test cases validating full product workflows.
• Implement automated test scripts to verify end-to-end behaviour and system stability.
• Integrate automated regression tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Enhance regression coverage using risk-based testing and reusable automation frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Improve and optimize the test framework for scalable product-level regression execution.
• Collaborate with Test Developers to plan test infrastructure for new product initiatives.
