Microchip Denmark is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain C APIs for Ethernet PHYs and switches used in automotive and industrial markets.

You will work at the intersection of low-level embedded development, networking, and developer experience—building robust, reusable APIs that enable customers to get the most from our silicon. You will apply MISRA, ASPICE, and safety standards while embracing AI-assisted tooling to improve code quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C and embedded software development.
• Experience developing software for embedded systems.
• Experience in regulated environments with safety/quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, intuitive C APIs for Ethernet PHYs and switches.
• Ensure API compatibility and long-term backward compatibility, with MISRA compliance.
• Contribute to automated test infrastructure and API validation strategies.
• Collaborate with chip design, systems engineering, networking, validation, and product development.
