Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an exceptionally experienced Electronic Design Test Engineer with active Defence Security Clearance to support a long-term defence programme in Denmark. This hybrid freelance role starts ASAP and combines 4 days onsite with 1 day remote, across a 2-year engagement.

You will design, develop and maintain automated test systems for electronic products, and lead verification activities using NI TestStand and LabVIEW, coordinating with engineering teams to hit milestones.

Qualifications

• Active Defence Security Clearance required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with NI TestStand and LabVIEW.
• Experience in defence, aerospace or other regulated environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test systems for electronic products.

We are seeking a highly experienced Electronic Design Test Engineer with active Defence Security Clearance to support a long-term, high-profile defence programme in Denmark. This is a niche and technically demanding position requiring a hands‑on engineer who can operate independently, take ownership of workstreams, and effectively function as both a technical specialist and project lead where required.

Key Requirements

• Active Defence Security Clearance (essential)
• Danish national or able to work legally in Denmark (Danish local preferred)
• Minimum 5 years' commercial experience with: NI TestStand LabVIEW
• Strong background in electronic design, test development, and validation
• Hands‑on engineering approach with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Capable of working independently and managing project deliverables with minimal supervision
• Experience within defence, aerospace, security, or other highly regulated environments is highly desirable
