Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd invites applications for an Electrical Project Manager based in Fredericia, Denmark, to lead a substations project from start to handover. You will coordinate design works, liaise with stakeholders, manage staffing with project directors, and ensure on-site quality and safety.

• Electrical trade qualification through Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in managing a project from scoping out requirements to completion.
• Proven experience in managing, coordinating, and developing staff.
• Experience supporting a continuous improvement culture on a project.
• Experience in substation projects desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from beginning to end.
• Coordinate all design works and interfaces with third party stakeholders.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with clients from start to handover; act as ambassador.
• Organise handover of project from estimating to construction team.
• Staff recruitment planning in collaboration with Project Director and Operations Director.
• Ensure audits by on-site Quality Control according to design plan.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Project Manager to join Suir Engineering Ltd. The position will be based in Fredericia, Denmark on a Substation Project.

We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

What you will be doing?

• Oversee Construction Projects from beginning to end.
• Co-ordination of all design works & Interfaces with all third party stakeholders
• Maintaining excellent working relationships with Client form project start to handover; acting as ambassador with Clients and all other stakeholders.
• Arrange and chair handover of project from estimating department to construction team.
• Liaise with Project Director and Operations Director in staffing of project and agree on a recruitment plan for staff and operatives particular to your staff.
• Ensure audits are carried out by the person responsible on site for Quality Control in accordance with the design plan (if applicable).
• Hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors and ensure that safety and training are discussed.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with the client from project start up to project completion.

Is this the job for me?

• Electrical Trade qualification through Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in managing a project from scoping out project(s)' requirements and resources in line with strategic company objectives to the completion and delivery of the project.
• Proven experience in managing, coordinating, and developing staff.
• Experience in supporting a continuous improvement culture amongst the project team.
• Experience in substation projects desirable
• Awareness of BIM technologies where relevant.
• Awareness of Engineering processes and best practice.
