Job summary

Lundbeck is seeking a Director, Head of Architecture & Design to lead the Architecture & Design function within Commercial Digital Enablement, aligning digital, data and AI initiatives with business goals in Copenhagen.

You will coach a team of five architecture specialists, shape a scalable operating model, and ensure design choices are practical, compliant by design and anchored in commercial value while engaging senior leaders across delivery, data and security.

Your new role

As Director, Head of Architecture & Design, you will be accountable for leading the Architecture & Design function within Commercial Digital Enablement, spanning Lundbeck’s commercial digital, data and artificial intelligence agenda.

Your key responsibilities include:

Lead people, direction and design quality

• -Lead, coach and develop the Architecture & Design team, building a strong internal capability with clear accountability, trust and room for specialist expertise to thrive.
• -Shape a practical operating model where design authority, decision rights and ways of working are clear, useful and consistently applied.
• -Create a shared view of good architecture and design: simple where possible, scalable where needed, compliant by design, easy to operate and anchored in commercial value.

Build alignment around scalable enterprise capabilities

• -Ensure commercial digital, data and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities are designed with reuse, adoption and operational ownership in mind.
• -Bring business stakeholders, Commercial Digital Enablement colleagues and Enterprise Digital Enablement functions into the right conversations early, so important design choices are understood, challenged and aligned.
• -Challenge vendors and consultants constructively on integration, scalability, cost, compliance, usability and long-term flexibility.

Communicate, connect and lead through influence

• -Represent Commercial Architecture & Design in cross-functional forums with a clear, pragmatic and business-oriented communication style.
• -Make complex design topics understandable for senior stakeholders, helping teams move from ambiguity to direction, decisions and next steps.
• -Partner across Delivery, Data, Artificial Intelligence, Security, Operations and Enterprise Architecture to ensure design intent can be implemented, adopted and sustained.

Your future team

You will join Commercial Digital Enablement within Enterprise Digital Enablement and lead the Architecture & Design team. Commercial Digital Enablement connects commercial priorities with enterprise design and delivery.

You will report to the Head of Commercial Digital Enablement and lead a team of five architecture specialists. Your leadership will help the team work as one function, bring its expertise into the right conversations and build credibility with business and technology stakeholders.

You will work closely with business stakeholders across commercial functions and customer experience, as well as colleagues across Enterprise Digital Enablement, vendors and other partners. The role requires strong relationship-building, active listening, clear facilitation and the ability to connect perspectives across business, digital and technology communities. The role is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Given the collaborative and leadership nature of the role, frequent in-office presence is required.

What you bring to the team

• -More than 10 years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise platforms, commercial technology, architecture leadership or related leadership roles.
• -Proven experience leading, coaching and developing senior specialists or professional teams in a complex organisation.
• -Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex design choices into clear, business-relevant messages.
• -Experience establishing governance, decision forums and ways of working that improve design quality without adding unnecessary process burden.
• -A solid understanding of commercial and customer-facing platforms, data, artificial intelligence, integration and regulated environments - with the judgement to know when to go deep and when to lead through others.
• -Ability to balance business urgency with team capacity, enterprise standards, compliance needs and long-term flexibility.

Annual base salary range: 910 000 - 1 251 800 DKK gross.
