Are you a highly skilled architect who can turn complex commercial, digital, data and artificial intelligence choices into clear direction? Join Lundbeck as Commercial Domain Architect and help shape our commercial digital ecosystem.

In this role, you will be the design authority for the commercial digital domain across customer relationship management, customer engagement, omnichannel, content, analytics, commercial data and artificial intelligence-enabled workflows. You will help create a coherent ecosystem that can scale across markets while balancing global consistency, local relevance, speed, flexibility and long-term sustainability.

Your new role

As Commercial Domain Architect, you will own and evolve the target architecture for Lundbeck’s commercial digital domain, translating commercial priorities into clear architectural direction across platforms, integrations, data and future capabilities.

A key part of your role will be navigating complex trade-offs where there is rarely one perfect answer — for example global standardisation versus local flexibility, platform-native versus modular approaches, and speed of delivery versus long-term scalability.

You will work closely with the Head of Architecture & Design, solution architects, commercial stakeholders, colleagues across data, artificial intelligence, security and operations, and external partners. You will be a trusted sparring partner for the solution architects, helping them navigate design choices, challenge assumptions and keep solutions aligned with the broader commercial target architecture.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Shape the commercial architecture

• Own and evolve the target architecture across customer relationship management, customer engagement, omnichannel, content, analytics, commercial data and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities.
• Define how customer, account, engagement, content, consent, insight and performance data connect across the commercial ecosystem.
• Define platform boundaries, integration patterns and solution principles that enable interoperability, reuse and future flexibility across the organisation.

Provide strategic design authority

• Act as the architectural design authority for the commercial domain and assess solution fit within agreed enterprise principles and guardrails.
• Provide clear recommendations on strategic trade-offs and make the rationale understandable to both senior stakeholders and technical teams.
• Identify and challenge designs that could create unnecessary duplication, technical debt, weak interoperability, vendor dependency or constraints on future scalability and innovation.

Enable data and artificial intelligence

• Ensure the commercial architecture supports trusted, well-governed and artificial intelligence-ready data and insights.
• Shape the architectural foundation for scalable artificial intelligence workflows and future artificial intelligence-enabled customer engagement.
• Connect commercial architecture with wider enterprise capabilities across data, artificial intelligence, integration, security and operations.

Guide solutions from architecture to delivery

• Act as a senior sparring partner for solution architects and guide external partners so detailed designs remain aligned with the commercial target architecture and agreed design principles.
• Challenge technology and implementation partners on data models, integration, extensibility, compliance, scalability, vendor dependency and long-term cost.
• Provide architectural recommendations and risk assessments that inform platform, vendor, investment and roadmap decisions.

Your future team

You will join the Architecture & Design team within Commercial Digital Enablement, part of Lundbeck’s Enterprise Digital Enablement organisation. The team connects commercial priorities with enterprise architecture and solution design, helping Lundbeck develop digital capabilities that can be reused and scaled across markets.

You will report to the Head of Architecture & Design. As Commercial Domain Architect, you will provide professional architecture authority for the commercial domain and act as a senior sparring partner for solution architects, the Delivery Lead and stakeholders across Commercial, Data, Artificial Intelligence, Security and Operations.

The position has no direct people-management responsibility, but you will have significant professional influence through your role as the architectural authority for the commercial digital domain.

The role is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Given the collaborative and leadership nature of the role, frequent in-office presence is required.

What You Bring To The Team

We are looking for a highly talented architect who combines strong technical judgement with commercial understanding, pragmatic decision-making and excellent communication skills. You bring:

• 8+ years of experience in domain architecture, solution architecture, enterprise architecture or senior platform roles.
• Strong understanding of commercial capabilities within life sciences, including customer relationship management, customer engagement, customer and account data, and analytics.
• Experience shaping target architectures and designing scalable digital ecosystems across multiple markets or business units.
• Strong understanding of data, artificial intelligence, integration, platform architecture and governance.
• Experience assessing platform and ecosystem choices and challenging technology vendors and implementation partners.
• The ability to assess complex architectural trade-offs and advise senior stakeholders in practical business language.
• A collaborative working style, with the ability to build trust and create alignment across business, digital, data, artificial intelligence and technology teams.
• The confidence to act as a constructive sparring partner for solution architects, helping translate architectural principles into practical solution design.
• A strong enterprise mindset, with the ability to balance local requirements with scalability, interoperability and long-term sustainability.

Annual base salary range: 786 000 - 1 081 300 DKK gross
