Job summary

LEGO Group seeks a Director Privacy Office, a senior lawyer with deep GDPR expertise to shape global privacy standards. You will set strategic direction, deliver high‑impact legal analysis, and lead complex privacy initiatives across direct‑to‑consumer activities, marketing tech and kids’ privacy, reporting to the Head of Privacy Office.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience practising law.
• Privacy and GDPR specialisation with at least 5 years applying GDPR in practice.
• Experience setting direction as a senior privacy legal specialist.
• Experience advising on consumer privacy law and enforcement matters.
• Hands-on delivery of legal analysis, policies and guidance from scoping to completion.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities and develop core privacy policies for assigned areas.
• Provide independent legal advice on complex privacy matters and escalate when needed.
• Lead or support privacy risk assessments, DPAs, SCCs and DPIAs.
• Collaborate with legal, digital security, risk and audit teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update policies, positions and controls.
• Coach colleagues and stakeholders, sharing specialist knowledge.
