Job summary

NORDEN, a global shipping company, is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Risk Management team. You will help build analytical solutions across the development lifecycle, from understanding business challenges to production.

The role blends software development, data analysis, and business insight in a setting where technology directly informs decisions. You will work with Azure technologies, collaboratively with six teammates, and gradually take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in working in software systems.
• A degree within a relevant technical, economic or mathematical field.
• A genuine interest in software development and building robust solutions.
• Advanced English communication skills and the legal right to work in Denmark.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable and maintainable software systems using clean, efficient and well-tested code.
• Design, develop and support business-critical applications running in Azure.
• Explore opportunities for applying AI to improve processes and create value.
• Develop a good understanding of shipping and the business logic behind our systems.
• Support risk analysts, voyage performance analysts and finance business partners with reliable and timely solutions.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our architecture, development practices and operational setup.
