Job summary

Danske Commodities is seeking a data governance and data management specialist who will translate business needs into clear direction, responsibilities, and practical actions for managing data across the organisation.

You will lead initiatives to improve data quality, ownership, and governance, partner with product teams, and help embed a data-driven culture with pragmatic processes and minimal bureaucracy.

Qualifications

• Experience shaping and implementing data management, data governance, or data strategy in a complex organisation.
• Ability to design operating models, decision rights, ownership structures, and governance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of core data management disciplines like data quality, metadata, stewardship, and data sharing.

Responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the data management approach in partnership with stakeholders.
• Translate the approach into initiatives that build capability and demonstrate value.
• Define responsibilities, ownership, and escalation paths for data management in a product-oriented organisation.
• Build adoption by engaging and enabling product teams, business owners, and data stewards.
