Job summary

Maersk Container Industry in Denmark seeks a Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain data solutions on Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data is structured, reliable and usable for reporting and analytics.

You will translate business needs into scalable data models and pipelines, work with stakeholders, and help build an inhouse data platform to reduce reliance on external consultants while improving responsiveness and ownership.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical mindset to understand complex data structures and relationships.
• Solid understanding of data modelling principles and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms (e.g. Azure Data Platform).
• Knowledge of data processing, transformation and pipeline design.
• Experience handling large, complex datasets with performance and scalability.
• Understanding of financial/operational data structures (ERP/D365 is a plus).
• Knowledge of Power BI and semantic models is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data solutions on Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Build and maintain the data foundation supporting reporting, analytics and automation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable data models and pipelines.
• Drive data governance, quality and best practices across the data platform.
