Job summary

VML is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Open Intelligence team in a high-scale environment. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines handling massive data volumes while partnering with Product, analysts and data scientists to deliver robust features.

You will work with Python/Go/Scala, Spark, and containerized deployments (Kubernetes) in a hybrid setup, leveraging Terraform and CI/CD to ensure reliable operations across global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency with Python, Go or Scala for data processing.
• Experience with Spark or equivalent large-scale processing engines.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code practices.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and propose technical solutions; write and review production code.
• Collaborate with Product, analysts and data scientists to add features.
• Design and implement data governance and quality frameworks.
• Identify and address technical debt and inefficiencies in the data platform.
• Stay curious and explore new tools and technologies to move faster.
• Share knowledge in dedicated sessions and stand-ups.
