Job summary

Vestas in Aarhus seeks a Senior Payroll Manager to lead the North Central Europe payroll team, oversee Denmark operations, and drive process harmonization and governance. You will partner with HR, Finance, Tax and external providers to deliver compliant payroll globally and transform the payroll landscape.

The role requires deep knowledge of Danish payroll law, strong leadership, and experience with SAP-based implementations, upgrades, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Extensive experience 8+ years of experience leading end-to-end payroll operations, including payroll governance, compliance, controls, service delivery, and people's leadership responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of Danish payroll legislation, tax regulations, labor law, social security requirements, and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop the payroll team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that empowers employees to achieve their goals, grow professionally, and deliver their best performance
• Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for Denmark, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery supported by effective governance and controls
• Act as the payroll subject matter expert for Denmark, providing guidance on payroll legislation, compliance, risks, controls, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with Danish payroll, tax, labor law, social security, and statutory reporting requirements, including audit support and internal controls
• Partner closely with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, HRIS teams, external payroll providers, and the global payroll organization to ensure seamless payroll delivery and alignment with global standards
• Deliver operational Excellence with continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and optimization initiatives designed to increase efficiency and enhance the employee experience
• Manage payroll vendor relationships, ensuring effective service delivery, performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Support payroll and HR transformation initiatives, including system implementations, upgrades, testing, integrations, and process enhancements within the SAP payroll landscape
